Welcome to My Personal Page!
We are so excited that the Indiana AIDS Walk will be in person again this year! Each year, the AIDS Walk aims to raise funds to help people who are living with HIV.
The money raised goes to the Gregory R. Powers Direct Emergency Financial Assistance (DEFA) Fund. These funds go directly to help people living with HIV in the form of assistance with shelter, food, access to critical medications, and transportation. I am a nurse practitioner who works at the IU Health LifeCare clinic in Indianapolis, and I can tell you firsthand how important these funds are to our clients!
Your financial gift may buy a prescription for a child of a mother living with HIV/AIDS. It could help a released inmate purchase an air mattress for their unfinished studio apartment. It might be used to replace the battery in an electric wheelchair. It could pay for a dentist to replace a lost front tooth before a job interview. Or cover the cost of the bus pass to a doctor's appointment.
Please consider making a donation for this important cause!
Thank you! —Stacey
